Remote Contract

We're looking for a developer with proven experience building Shopify apps — public or private — using Shopify's App CLI, APIs, and modern app architecture. This role is centered purely on app development, not third-party app setup. You'll collaborate closely with our team to build reliable, scalable apps that meet Shopify's technical and App Store standards.

Responsibilities

▹ Design, build, and maintain custom Shopify apps (public or private) ▹ Work with Shopify's Admin API, Storefront API, and GraphQL ▹ Implement features using Shopify's App Bridge, Polaris, and webhooks ▹ Build and manage app backend logic, database structures, and integrations ▹ Ensure apps meet Shopify's App Store requirements and best practices ▹ Debug, test, and optimize app performance ▹ Collaborate with the team on feature planning and technical decisions

Requirements

✓ At least 6 months of hands-on experience building Shopify apps (not just installing/configuring existing apps) ✓ Strong knowledge of Typescript, Node.js, React, Next.js and Shopify's App CLI ✓ Experience with Shopify Admin API, GraphQL, and REST API ✓ Familiarity with OAuth, webhooks, and billing API for Shopify apps ✓ Understanding of Shopify's app architecture (embedded apps, App Bridge, Polaris design system) ✓ Ability to write clean, scalable, and well-documented code ✓ Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on contract deliverables
